Forlorn, a graceless winter in our hearts
This feral realm turns fouler by the day
And I can’t stand the stench of betrayal
That lace the always greyed skies above
Black out the sun over all the globe
So you can hide from impending doom
Like roaches, you await a nuclear sundown
But you cannot pull through
Women now facade the legions
And there are no children left to stand
Only foolish brainwashed men
Marching blindly with weapon in hand
And here I stand above the carnage
Looming in godless heavens upon you all
For I am the death you forever seek
The endemic that plagues all lands
All, suffer, as have I for many years
All will crumble in a lake of salty tears

A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue. Matt Richardson
