nickb84 Oof.. Opening track got me right in the feels..
A powerfully epic, intense and thought provoking EP.
Highly recommended for fans of torturous black/doom.
Looking forward to the full length album. Favorite track: The Sinister Business Of Selling Hope.

Mathieu Triboire This EP is a perfect example of what you can expect from a black metal oriented record. If you're looking for fast music, this is probably not for you but if you want something heavy, this could be the perfect stuff to listen to. Through the haunting riffs and tremendous screeching vocals, we behold a small glimpse of the dark world we live in.
There's enough melodies to please those who need them as a vehicle and for those who just need to hear a good necrosound, just let yourself go. Favorite track: The Sinister Business Of Selling Hope.

Peter Huibers Its a nice thing to know that black metal is evolving the right way. There is so much agony and anger that it's almost therapeutic to listen to it. There is a nice flow and the atmosphere is at point,

and don't overlook the great artwork! Favorite track: While The World Waits On Their One Last Breath.

1.
With wounds I tire Forging a path through a sea of swollen minds I will reach my end Here I stand a broken man Moments before collapse As I watch them ruin what I fashioned A formless figure smeared across my hatred A pound of my own flesh In return for a mouth to be heard Such sickening cries of mine Built from anguish, sold as hope Now I smell the toxic smoke I smell the steel in human mousetraps I see through the veil of hope While pulling taught this lowly rope
2.
Now in lament of a crimson crescent moon I occupy this half-lit corpse-flesh prison With mandibles quaking in the present I reach outwardly for the glowing fires Its teeth rip right through me like a puppet I give thanks to this farsighted benediction To feed hell’s hungry mouth To feed hell’s hungry mouth In violent flames and haunted depths Be still, and surrender your smile to the midnight sun To the midnight sun The ecstasy of belonging, long at last A sanctuary for the transcendentally homeless Casting tremors over all the Earth. Be still, and surrender your smile to the midnight sun Into the molten jaws of death Into the midnight sun
3.
This world is a graveyard Built on dreams that died long ago And here I stand alone This solstice The shortest day that never seems to fucking end And here I stand alone And here I stand floating through you Slowly, beneath the surface This inner monologue is turning against me Controlling my emptiness I’m tearing flesh from my shell The agony takes hold of me and I can’t save myself anymore Blood, flesh, malice This is the end
4.
I swallow glass that dilutes my water I’ve learned to tie my boots with my eyes glued shut A pawn in a savage canvassed rat race Waiting for my day to come I’ve spent my life losing sleep Firing lead and gnawing teeth To become their well-greased death-machine A solemn hornist to play their refrain I march toward the alleged enemy While the world waits on their one last breath Their flesh smells just like my own Their skin shines bright in the sun Marking their agony in the marshland To be perverted for our own glorification I want no part of this sadistic master narrative No trace of me to be found in this damned book I beg the sun to take me with them And free me from my own misguidance
